Joint project Arna - Stanghelle E01 Preparatory works road and tunnel.

The joint project Arna – Stanghelle (hereafter called "FAS") is a joint project between the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and Bane NOR. FAS is a part of the project portfolio for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration Development Area West and Bane NOR, Division Development, Development Unit Mega Projects. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration Development and Bane NOR SF Development c/o the Joint Project Arna – Stanghelle (hereafter called the total name "builder") invites tenderers to a negotiated procedure on the following contract work: The Joint Project Arna - Stanghelle E01 Preparatory works road and tunnel. The contract includes the establishment of 3 site tunnels, each with accompanying rock shafts for future deposit of surplus masses in Sørfjorden. The site tunnels are only for temporary use in the construction phase and the dimensioning of them is adapted to the needs of each location. All the construction areas are close to the current E16 and will require a lot of traffic management on the existing road. In addition, the avalanche stretch is outsourced, so that sometimes extensive avalanche protection is required in advance to secure the site areas. All the site tunnels cross over or under the existing railway, and work on crossings must be adapted to the railway traffic. The contract also includes alterations to the current junction in Trengereid. This is so that i.a. be able to prepare for a future crossing area, establish a landfill site, prepare cuttings for the main contract and avalanche protection for the area. A landfill site is facilitated at TheAlalhagen area for the receipt of matter from the eastern part of the facility.
