Om upphandlingen
The Norwegian Armed Forces shall hold a restricted tender contest for the procurement of new survival and protective equipment for air crews. The procurement includes two separate lots: Lot 1 – Aircrew Survival Vest (ASV) This sub-procurement applies to new survival vests for crew members in all of the Armed Forces helicopter types, including AW101-612 and MH-60R. ASV shall see to both the flotation function (rescue vest) and carrying the necessary survival equipment. Lot 2 – Aircrew Plate Carrier (APC) This sub procurement applies to ballistic plate carriers for air crews that operate in environments with increased threat levels, including maritime counter-terror operations. The plate carrier shall provide ballistic protection, be compatible with the Norwegian Defence ́s existing plates, and ensure sufficient mobility in combat situations and during demanding operations. The objective of the procurement is to ensure that the Norwegian Armed Forces' air crews are equipped with modern, ergonomic and secure systems that support operations in demanding maritime and tactical environments. The equipment shall be robust, tolerate Norwegian climate conditions and contribute to safe and efficient operation of the Norwegian Armed Forces helicopters. The procurement will result in two separate framework agreements, one for ASV and one for APC. It is possible for one tenderer to win both lots. Tenderers seeking prequalification must present documentation that demonstrates that they fulfil the qualification requirements.
