Om upphandlingen

The LUMI-IQ quantum computing platform will include an initial installation of an on-premises gate-based quantum computing system, followed by series of upgrades installed in multiple phases, which the chosen Tenderer will commit to. The nature of upgrades can tentatively be hardware and/or software, and these will be specified in more detail in the second phase of the procurement. The upgrades are meant to keep the system viable during its lifetime and they will have to positively impact the performance of the platform and/or add novel features. The planned platform and upgrades should represent as performant technology as possible, based on up-to-date hardware and/or software components, available for the chosen quantum computing architecture at the time of delivery. The initial systems should provide at least 50 physical qubits, supporting at least the Qiskit open-source SDK. Hardware native gates must form universal gate set. The members of the LUMI-IQ consortium are CSC - IT CENTER FOR SCIENCE LTD, Finland, (Coordinator), VSB - TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF OSTRAVA Czechia, (IT4I) (Partner), SIGMA2 AS, Norway (Partner) and ACADEMY GORNICZO-HUTNICZA IM. STANISLAWA STASZ, Poland (Partner). The LUMI-IQ Quantum Computing Platform setup will be procured by the LUMI-IQ consortium lead by CSC and owned by the LUMI-IQ consortium members in proportion to their financial contribution to the purchase of the Quantum Computer. The estimate value of the procurement (excluding taxes) is EUR 25,000,000 - 33,000,000, including turnkey solution quantum computer platform/systems and software upgrades.
